Hi!  My name is Mariko Cottingham.  I am a senior at the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center and a 2023-2024 state ambassador. My plan is to major in education and minor in biology with the ultimate goal of teaching middle school. I am currently exploring colleges and can’t wait to find the “right fit.”  I enjoy reading, shopping, baking, trying new food places with my family, and watching movies with my friends. Those that know me describe me as a very reliable person with a super positive personality.  I am looking forward to the experiences my future will take me and getting my degree.

Hi, I’m Cheyenne Mickler. I am a senior at Maple Heights High School. I am one of the 2023-2024 state ambassadors. Outside of school, I play volleyball, run track, and play flag football. In my free time I love to sleep, binge watch movies/shows, and go to work. I also love to travel. I really want to go to Egypt sometime before I’m 20. I plan on going to the University of Tennessee or Ohio State, but I am looking into a few HBCUs like Morgan State, Kentucky State, and Charles Drew University. I’m interested in secondary education or being a college professor.

Hello, my name is Natasia Steele and I am a 2023-2024 state ambassador for Educators Rising Ohio. I am a senior at Gahanna Lincoln High School and I take Teaching Professions through Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools. My plans for the future include attending Ohio University and majoring in early childhood education. My end goal is to come back to the district I grew up in and become a 3rd grade teacher. I enjoy shopping, traveling, cooking, and spending time with my friends and family. I look forward to the experiences that this opportunity will bring me!

Hi! My name is Madison Vincent. I am a senior at
Cleveland Heights High School. I am one of the 2023-2024 state ambassadors. In my free time I like to watch movies and shows, go to Friday night football games, make money at work, travel, and hang out with my friends. I also enjoy doing volunteer work and giving back to my community. My goal is to go to Youngstown State University, but I am also looking into a few HBCUs. I am interested in early childhood education.

Hi, I am Zach Vodika. I am a senior at Wayne County Schools Career Center and Orrville High School, and I am a 2023-2024 state ambassador. In my free time I play football for the Orrville Red Riders, work at Smuckers Daycare, participate in the Wayne County Youth Foundation, and also help my community by participating and donating my time to make my town better and people around me better. I plan to attend either Wayne College in Orrville, Ohio or Ohio State in Mansfield, Ohio to major in either special education or early childhood education.
